My Little Girl

When Jay was old enough (2 1/2) his mom and dad decided he needed a sibling. Of course we wanted a little girl and God blessed them with the sweetest little thing you can imagine. She has black hair like her dad but looks more like her mom. Her name is Madeline Lee (Lee after her dad). She has such a funny little personality and makes funny faces and is very lovable. She goes to anyone and will lay her head on their shoulder like she's known them forever. She's walking now and we say she wobbles like my Mother did when she walked, ha. She doesn't come for the night yet. We don't have to much to talk about and I'm afraid she'll fall out of my bed since she's to big for the bed I had at my house. It's coming soon though. Whether her big brother will let that happen or not is yet to be seen.

My Little Boy

My life is a very colorful one if I should say so myself. Won't go into details but have had a great time in spite of my ups and downs.

My life changed drastically in 2003 when I lost my husband Jay from complications of a surgery. Four months later my daughter got married and I gave the phrase "Empty Nest Syndrome" a whole new meaning. But little did I know there would be a little boy born 14 months later that would fill a big hole that was in my heart. Ultra sounds said he was a girl until 2 months before his birth. I had to bring back the little dress I had bought for him/her.

My life then revolved around this little boy that had come into our lives. We named him after his Poppa Jay and a friend of ours son who was killed by a train earlier that year Owen. He is a clone of his dad Brandon and looks more and more like him all the time.

He usually spends the night with me at least once a week where play, watch movies and "scrooch" which means to snuggle. We watch Polar Express year round. It's in the DVD player in my bedroom and is the only movie that's been in there, ha. That's what we watch until we go to sleep. Waking up with that little boy snuggled close to me is one of the greatest feelings in the world. In fact he's coming over tonight and I can't wait.
